| Cache |
|
Cache copies the web pages stored locally on an Internet user's hard drive or within a search engine's database. It is the main reason for the web pages loading so quickly when a user hits the Back button in their web browser. The cache keeps up the page from being redownloaded off of the Internet.
We can take Google as unique among the other search engines as it allows viewing the cached version of web pages in its index to the users of the net by clicking on the word "Cache" next to the search result of interest. You will be taken to a copy of the page as Googlebot discovered and indexed it. This feature of Google makes it easy to spot cloaking. |
